Kent Island 38 Mile Ride

      Dave Zauche will lead a flat 38 mile ride on Kent Island on Tuesday October 25.  We will meet at Old Love Point Park, 300 Old Love Point Road, Stevensville. Depart at 9:30am sharp.

      Here is the route:  

1. Old Love Point Park to Kent Point Marina – 12.4 miles  (the southern end of Kent Island)
2. Kent Point Marina to Romancoke Wharf Park via Cove Creek Club – 9 miles
3. Romancoke Wharf Park to Love Point – 12.7 miles  (the northern end of Kent Island)
4. Love Point to Old Love Point Park – 4 miles

Let’s plan on a 15-16mph group and a 17-18mph group. I would to add a twist for this ride:

• For the 9-mile Segment 2 above, I suggest we all ride together since the two groups often don’t get much time to interact. Thus, at the start the faster group would ride from Old Love Point Park to Kent Point Marina and wait there a few minutes for the second group to arrive. Then, we all ride together to Romancoke Wharf Park (bathrooms available).    

Afterward, those who want to hang out can get lunch together at the nearby Bark Barbecue Café or Rams Head Shore House in Stevensville.
