This ride has some of the best climbs in Maryland featuring two extended climbs! No-drop with regrouping at the summits and intersections. Midway through the ride, we'll take a well-deserved break at the Thurmont Sheetz. This works well to go up at their own pace, and ride casually together on the extended downhills. Route has less than 4,000 ft of ascent concentrated in 2 climbs. Our first climb is a favorite, following the beautiful stream up Catoctin Hollow before continuing up to the top of Foxtower. The second climb begins in Thurmont, up Foxhollow, then continues along the Gran Fondo route up Gambills Park Road.
