This Ride starts at the Frostburg Park & Ride.

It heads into Frostburg along Route 40 with a nice climb out of Frostburg to start the day. A number of steep bumps including Little Savage Mountain. Refill your water bottles around Mile 14 (Pilot or Valero) before making your way to Westernport Road and Savage River Road for a 7 mile downhill run through the Savage River Forest, alongside the Savage River, Around the Savage River Reservoir, and to the South Side of the Big Savage Mountain before stopping in Westport for the steady 15 mile climb back to Frostburg.

This is the route and ABC has used these roads in the past.

This ride marks off Garrett and Allegany counties on the Tour of Maryland challenge. Due to the long drive, the ride will start at 10am.

Chris has room for 1 additional bike/person if you wish to carpool. (coming from Annapolis area)
